like katrina & the waves said........

Lottie Pearl slept from 730pm - 7am. No dream feed either. This song pretty much sums it up  (not to mention transports me back to when I used to listen to this on my cassette walkman when i was about 6)

  4. oh, i hope my post didn't make any mama's out there feel shithouse!!! remember renee, we all have our battles! don't worry, forever we've been the only ones who woke up a million times a night. you'll get there and it will feel super sweet when you arrive x

  5. I reckon it gives us hope that it WILL happen for us!! Sienna was a DREAM baby who slept and ate like a champ and who didn't cry (i'm not kidding!) I didn't like to say much at mother's group but it was pretty obvious. Other mamas kept asking what my "secret" was. Then when she turned 3 months (and started teething) she became a cling-on, waking every 45 mins at night and not sleeping more than 10 mins at a time during the day (that was 6 glorious weeks I'll never get back) and discovered her lungs. She has calmed down a bit now but I know her changes gave a lot of reassurance to the other mums I was hanging out with. Babies change all the time and often not really anything to do with all the efforts of the mama. It was a good lesson in letting go of mama guilt we all decided (could have learnt that without the 45 min wskeups tho')

  7. well for us, we were always the 'craziest' as lottie is the oldest in our group and she got 2 teeth at 3 months etc and had mad wake ups since then. i basically don't remember from 3mths - 5 and a half mths cause we were so sleep deprived. all the other mamas were not understanding as they had younger bubs that were 'yet to wake up' and now we are through that phase and their bubs are all hitting that phase i feel so good that lottie and i can be a testament to the fact that they WILL get through it. I am tots blessed with a good mama's group though, i ALWAYS admitted how sleep deprived and exhausted we were, even though it was hard when everyone else's babies were sleeping. now i just assure them that they can get through this cause if we can, they can!!!! and as always, with one thing conquered, the next thing comes along! 6 teeth in 2 weeks is NUTS. no one else has teeth yet in our group!

  8. yep me too I was the only one in my mum's group who had a super active baby who woke up 2-3 times a night but now some of the other babies are changing their sleeping patterns and I think some of the mums no get why I was so tired all the time! I'm pretty confident that once Lula starts eating more solids and maybe is weaned she might give sleeping a go, but we are still waiting with abated breath! haha but seriously I am super happy for you I probably know more than most how exciting having a full nights sleep would be!
